One of the most annoying and expensive problems with bulk material processing is the contamination by foreign substances. These contaminants not only reduce the quality of the final product, they also cause damage to the machines and failures. Especially high-strength small metal parts such as screws, nuts, washers, or cotter pins cause serious damage to the processing machinery. For this reason, the production costs with contract processing are often uncontrollable.

Ebbecke has the production under control

To solve this costly nuisance, the engineers of Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG have developed their own system with which goods that have been contaminated by metal particles can be cleaned. This is done using the inductively-working metal detector that detects even the finest metal abrasions and reliably separates them from the goods. Through a trouble-free production process delays, non-compliance of supply contracts and consequent compensation claims, as well as costly image damage for the customer are avoided.

This system, known as the de-magnetic metal cleaning system, has a dosing plant with a negative conical bunker, which ensures a uniform feeding of the metal separator. Through a system of valves even the smallest metal particles, such as chips or metal threads are discharged. The metal detection can be combined simultaneously with a screening which, for example, eliminates contamination from wood, chicken feathers and the like. Here too a screening system developed by Ebbecke is used. If there is a measurable difference in the grain size or shape, the most effective solution is the additional decontamination by "Planoscreen".

Certified purity

The purifying procedures developed by Ebbecke, which is the leading contract processor of bulk material of all kinds in Europe, work extremely efficiently and reliably. The result are final products with a very high degree of purity. In practice, for our customers this means: As a company certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik issues legally binding test certificates of purity. This means raw material suppliers and distributors can be sure that they are supplying contamination-free products to their customers at home and abroad.
