The discussion about the new EU-US customs deal is causing great unrest in the SME sector. In a recent article by BILD.de<\/strong>, our CEO Axel Ebbecke<\/strong> also has his say: <\/p>\n

“I find the result of the customs negotiations disastrous: the Union has made itself vulnerable to blackmail. (…) As a traditional SME, we just feel like we’re being bullied.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the interview, he made it clear that the current policy is forcing many companies to break new ground. A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG is also reacting: We are securing our international competitiveness by setting up our first site in the USA. <\/p>\n

The article shows how deep the concerns of German SMEs run. In addition to the direct burdens caused by the customs deal, bureaucracy, increasing regulation and a lack of planning security are also cited as key obstacles. These developments make investments more difficult and slow down innovation – factors that are particularly crucial for specialized SMEs. <\/p>\n

The clear words of our Executive Board underline this: Reliable framework conditions, fewer hurdles and more support for SMEs are needed to secure jobs and growth in Germany in the long term.<\/p>\n
