Plastic Mill

The solution for the production of plastic powder

Plastic powder production thanks to Plastic Mill

Our fine grinding systems for plastic pellets enable the grinding of a wide variety of plastic pellets up to ultra-fine grinding. All grinding systems are made of stainless steel, have a closed design and are equipped with dosing devices, separators, a discharge system with disposable filters and bunkers. The micronized regrind can be further processed on site or filled directly into the containers required by the customer.

Precise fine grinding of plastics

Areas of application

We grind a wide range of plastics – including LDPE, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyamide and EVA. Depending on the material properties, we use suitable processes to achieve the desired particle size and quality.

On request, fine grinding can be carried out with simultaneous dedusting of the finished product for optimum purity. For temperature-sensitive plastics such as EVA, we also offer cryogenic grinding, in which the material is gently cooled with liquid nitrogen and precisely ground.

Frequently Asked Questions About Plastic Mill

The Plastic Mill is used for fine grinding and micronization of plastic pellets. It enables the production of plastic powder from various types of pellets and can either process the micronized material directly or fill it into containers of the desired size.

Using the Plastic Mill, Ebbecke grinds materials such as LDPE, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyamide, and EVA. Depending on the material properties, the appropriate grinding process is selected to achieve the desired particle size and powder quality.

The Plastic Mill is designed for target finenesses ranging from 200 to 1,000 µm. This makes it suitable for contract grinding of plastic pellets when specific particle size ranges and clean further processing are important.

Disc mills, pin mills, cutting mills, and cryogenic grinding systems are used for plastic grinding. All grinding systems are designed as closed systems, and the areas that come into contact with the product are made of stainless steel.

Yes, upon request, fine grinding can be combined with simultaneous dust removal from the finished product. The ground material can then be packed into bags, big bags, octabins, drums, or, if necessary, into silo trucks.
