Our gentle grinding processes ensure that valuable ingredients are retained as far as possible, while a uniform particle size ensures optimum further processing.

After grinding, we fill the material into big bags or other desired containers as required – flexibly, cleanly and reliably.

Ebbecke uses the Drug Mill to grind, among other things, active pharmaceutical ingredient precursors, willow bark, St. John’s wort, tea leaves, and plant roots. The process is designed for the gentle grinding of plant-based and pharmaceutical raw materials.

The Drug Mill is designed for target particle sizes ranging from 1 to 15 mm. This makes it suitable for cutting and grinding applications where a uniform particle size is required for the further processing of plant-based raw materials.

The drug mill has a throughput capacity of 0.5 to 3 metric tons per hour. This makes contract grinding a cost-effective option even for seasonal production volumes, without requiring companies to invest in their own mills that would only be operating at full capacity intermittently.

The material is fed through a hopper equipped with a discharge mechanism and a twin-shaft screw conveyor. It can be delivered in bags, bales, big bags, octabins, or drums; after grinding, the material is packed into big bags or other containers as needed.
