Linear Sieve for contract screening with maximum flexibility

The flexible and adaptable screening system

Combination screening plants for maximum precision

The Linear Sieve offers maximum flexibility in contract screening. Adjustable stroke length, infinitely variable inclination of the screen cloth and frequency-controlled motor speed enable precise adaptation to a wide range of products and particle sizes. Continuous sieve insert cleaning prevents blockages, while the long-stroke planar movement ensures optimum separation efficiency and prevents elongated particles from standing up – thus significantly reducing the proportion of faulty particles.

An innovative new feature at our Schöneck plant is the combined screen sifter system with ascending sifter. It screens out coarse material and at the same time separates long-fiber components such as strands or angel hair, for example in the demanding processing of plastic pellets.

Areas of application

Our systems enable the precise fractionation of raw materials into defined grain fractions and the efficient dedusting of grit-like powders and granulates. Strands and angel hair from plastic granulates or reinforcement materials from the rubber industry are reliably screened out and sifted. Sharp-edged components in dental powders can also be separated in a targeted manner. The technology is also suitable for processing contaminated raw materials and can be equipped with high-performance ascending sifters if required.

Frequently Asked Questions About Linear Sieve

A linear sieve is used when bulk materials need to be separated flexibly and precisely into defined particle size fractions. It is particularly suitable for a variety of products and particle sizes where high separation efficiency, low proportions of misclassified particles, and reproducible results are important.

Linear sieve technology is suitable for plastic pellets because it can effectively separate out coarse material, dust, stringing, and so-called “angel hair.” When combined with an air classifier, plastic pellets can be processed particularly efficiently and separated from undesirable components.

The separation efficiency can be adjusted by varying the stroke length, continuously varying the angle of the screen mesh, and controlling the motor speed via frequency. This allows the Linear Sieve to be adapted to product characteristics, particle size, and the desired fraction.

At Ebbecke, linear sieve systems can operate with mesh sizes ranging from approximately 50 to 20,000 µm. Depending on the system type, two to five fractions are possible, allowing different particle sizes to be cleanly separated in a single process.

A linear sieve can operate with continuous cleaning of the sieve inserts, for example, using ball-beating devices or air brushes. This reduces clogging, keeps the sieve surface effective for longer, and ensures consistent quality in contract screening.
