Sampling

What is sampling?

Ebbecke attaches particular importance to sampling. In order to provide you with perfect results, random samples are taken from the goods to be processed and tested in a defined procedure. These samples are used to make reliable statements about the quality, properties or composition of a particular material.

Carrying out sampling:

  • Solids – Individual samples are taken from solid substances and mixed to form composite samples. Sub-samples are taken from these samples. These are crushed and tapered. This finally produces the analysis sample.
  • Liquid substances – Some partial quantities of liquid substances are removed. These are mixed into a composite sample in a bottle and analyzed in the laboratory.
  • Gaseous substances – Samples of gas are drawn in using an aspirator, stored in collection tubes and analyzed.
