Screening

As a company with many years of experience in the field of contract screening services, we know where our customers‘ priorities lie. Resulting from our customers’ requirements we developed our contract screening lines Planoscreen and Planodry. These allow us to perform screening without a risk of contamination, while at the same time allowing drying in a nitrogen environment or under a pressure cascade.
In addition to our in-house developed machines, we screen using machines from other renowned brands. Depending on the type of bulk goods delivered, one of the many substantially different screening processes, such as tumbler screening, vibration screening, ultrasonic screening, plan sifter screening, centrifugal screening, vibration/rotation screening and many others, is chosen for our contract screening services.
The combination of screening, sifting and drying, offer a whole new scope of possibilities of combined processing. Our newly developed ultrasonic-screening machine uses the newest pulsation technology, combined with an Engelsmann long-stroke screening process, this allows for fractionation of complex products with a grain size of 35 – 50 µm with a high level of separation precision.
With our special machinery developed in-house, we can even process products that are difficult to screen, for example screenings with low bulk density. Sensitive screening material such as pyrogenic or precipitated silica is also in good hands with us. Due to the wide range of different screening processes in our contract compaction, we can even screen greasy and sticky products.
Our plants work as a closed system, which can be controlled from the outside and without restrictions from the feed of the bulk material to the filling process. System components that come into contact with the product are made of stainless steel. In addition, large lid openings and plug-in pins in the dosing units allow complete line clearance and residual-free cleaning of the systems.
As an example, Ebbecke’s vibration/rotation screening machines offer the technically perfect solution for contract screening of materials which are rather difficult to screen. These are mostly fatty, oily materials with a low specific weight, that are, due to the fact that their technically sensitive texture tends to block screening inlays, either considered non-screenable or at the most very difficultly screenable using conventional methods.
With our linear sieve screening plant, we also offer our customers contract screening with maximum flexibility. With the ultra-modern linear-sieve screening plant, a wide variety of products and grain sizes can be screened with full flexibility – in perfect grain sizes and with a greatly reduced proportion of faulty grain in the end product.
During operation, the continuously operating screen insert cleaning system ensures a consistently high quality of the products as well as smooth operation of the plant. This prevents or reduces clogging of the screening mesh. Air heaters and air coolers control the temperature of the product during processing. Integrated ascending sifters allow an additional separation of fine dust particles.
The results of our work can be examined directly on site in our scientific analysis laboratory. Modern measuring instruments and methods, including several Retsch and J. Engelsmann test screening machines, laser diffraction devices and Alpine air jet sieves, ensure consistently high product quality.
For all screening orders entrusted to us, the following applies: Our employees know that the product properties and process technologies were worked out hard by our industrial partners. They also know that this know-how often forms the capital stock of a business model or a successful product. Customer, product and processing data from contract screening are therefore treated with the utmost confidentiality and secrecy at Ebbecke.
… that we develop and test new processing methods according to your specifications?
In our Ebbecke technical center, our engineers develop processes and machines with which your products can be innovatively processed. We test, develop, advise and are shifting like a grave. Because we want, just like you, that the unique know-how remains the capital of your product.
