Environment at the Schöneck site

As the largest site of A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG, the Schöneck site is predestined by its location to create a unity between modern production, nature and the environment. To ensure this, A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG has implemented a wide range of measures, often together with partners. In addition to discussions with the various environmental institutions and associations, the basis for this was also the stipulations of the development plan.

The entire site has a park-like structure in terms of its location and layout. With a low land utilization, extensive green areas around the entire site with historic tree stands and open meadow areas, there are a variety of possibilities for nature conservation. The entire path area outside the site fence, with a width of 9 m, will be replanted and reforested around the site. The nature conservation authorities have issued corresponding specifications for a mixed wood.

Biodiversity and nature conservation on our company premises

Falcon nesting boxes in the hall areas, which are fully utilized every year, ensure that this protected species can raise its young in a safe environment with a view and good food supply. The entire extensive meadow areas on the site are also used as wild meadows. We only cut them twice a year to provide a habitat for insects and bees all year round.

Six lizard castles have now been created for sand lizards, providing a home and development opportunity for this protected species. Our own beehive on our company premises provides pollination opportunities for the extensive cherry tree plantations around the site.

As a customer, you will receive a sample of our own honey as a souvenir when you visit us. We also produce bath salts with honey, which provide natural skin care for you at home.

Employees

Our employees are the best ambassadors for environmentally friendly production. All employees are required to pay attention to environmental compatibility and environmental impact. This applies in particular to avoidable environmental pollution, such as waste containers or washing knives, but also the mechanical collection of powder products that may fall onto the closed apron areas due to improperly sealed containers.

Training and raising the awareness of our employees is the best way to ensure environmentally friendly and eco-friendly production and to develop new ideas in order to actively protect the environment in line with our motto “Let’s go green together”.

Hall processes for maximum environmental and employee protection

Process

The processes we operate are all located within closed hall areas (cold grinding, cryogenic grinding, contract grinding, contract milling, contract drying, contract mixing, contract sieving, micronizing, compacting). This ensures that emissions to the outside only occur at very select emission points, which can be audited accordingly and fitted with protective equipment.

This ensures the best possible protection of the environment and the surroundings. In addition, the processes are designed in a closed state so that the environmental impact inside the halls is as low as possible, which in turn can also lead to stress for the employees working there.

The products we process are closely monitored in close cooperation with our customers. Safety data sheets ensure the correct classification and the corresponding provision of safety precautions for both the environment and employees.

Regular audits of our customers and internal audits ensure that the processing of our products is checked and that they are handled and processed in an environmentally friendly and environmentally compatible manner.
