Among others, laser diffraction equipment as well as test sieve machines from Microtac and from J. Engelsmann are available. Laser diffraction analysis (also known as static light scattering) allows reliable conclusions to be drawn about particle size distributions by deflecting a laser beam and the resulting diffraction or scattering angles. Test sieving, on the other hand, is based on the plane-view principle and makes it possible to precisely determine the particle size distribution of bulk materials. In addition, air jet sieves from Alpine are available at Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik’s plant in Bruchköbel for testing the ground material, which we use for powders for separation, fractionation and particle size determination.
