With our drying systems for granulates and powder we offer our customers a wide range of contract drying services. At Ebbecke, we take into account the temperature sensitivity, the resistance to ultraviolet radiation (infrared radiation), the surface structure and the capillary structure of the product to be dried. This is because we dry granulates and powders carefully according to the specific requirements.
With the aid of a nozzle, the bulk material to be dried is introduced into a hot air stream, which dries it to a fine powder in a fraction of a second. This powder consists of hollow spheres with a large specific surface area, which ensure good solubility for certain products.
Individual spray dryers are manufactured using circular gas and inerting, as well as external dryers for post-drying and additional adjustment of the final moisture content. This process is always suitable when sensitive products such as vitamins, hormones, proteins and essential oils have to be processed. All powders produced in this way form tiny hollow spheres (20-200 µm) with a large specific surface. After spray-drying, the dried product exhibits very good solubility.
