As a result of the many requests from customers, we now have a newly built transfer system for products with difficult flow properties at our Schöneck site. This consists of a large negative-conical bunker that can hold up to 5 big bags and is equipped with a slow-running vane system.
Due to the specially designed geometry, bridging is avoided and the product is continuously fed to the downstream vortex screw with paddle container, even in the case of heavy agglomeration. This dosing unit ensures that the mostly agglomerated products are subsequently comminuted. If this is not sufficient, a hammer mill can be installed downstream to restore the flowability of the products.
This system is often used in combination with other systems, such as mixing systems, screening systems and grinding systems, and ensures the processing of agglomerated products or containers. These agglomerations often occur during long storage periods or when moisture is introduced, e.g. during transportation by sea. Complete batches can therefore also be made flowable again for customers and packaged in new containers so that they can be reused in their own supply chain.
