Ebbecke Releases CO₂ Footprint Report for Its Schöneck Plant

With its first carbon footprint assessment for the Schöneck plant, A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG is taking another important step toward a transparent and measurable sustainability strategy. The corporate carbon footprint captures the site’s greenhouse gas emissions for the 2024 reporting year and provides a reliable foundation for further development.

The report was prepared by Clair Intelligence GmbH in accordance with the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. It took into account both the site’s direct emissions and the indirect emissions resulting from energy consumption.

Clear Data for Informed Decisions

For the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024, a total of 1,524.1 metric tons of CO₂ equivalents was calculated. Of this total, 219.9 metric tons are attributable to direct emissions from heating oil, the vehicle fleet, and the forklifts’ liquefied petroleum gas consumption. An additional 1,304.2 metric tons result indirectly from electricity consumption.

This detailed tracking provides a clear picture of the areas where the majority of emissions originate. This gives Ebbecke a solid data foundation for evaluating future developments in a transparent manner and implementing measures where they can have the greatest impact.

An important starting point for the future

Since this is the first greenhouse gas inventory for the Schöneck plant, the reporting year 2024 also serves as the base year. This allows for the objective comparison and documentation of future progress and changes.

With this publication, Ebbecke underscores its commitment to combining corporate responsibility with transparent data. The report is thus not only a status update but, above all, an important starting point for the further development of energy and climate protection measures at the Schöneck site.
