FOR NATURE PROTECTION
Environment on site in Schöneck
Being A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG’s largest site, the Schöneck facility is predestined by its location to bring about a unity between modern production, nature and the environment. In order to guarantee this, various measures have been implemented by the company A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG, often together with partners. The basis for this were, besides the discussions with the different environmental institutions and associations, also the definition of the development plan.
The entire site’s location and layout is park-like. With a low land use, extensive green areas around the entire site with a historic tree population and open meadow areas, allow for a variety of conservation opportunities. The entire path area outside the site fence with a width of 9 m, will be re-vegetated and reforested around the site. Here nature protection authorities provided appropriate mixed woodland specifications.
Falcon nesting boxes located throughout the parts of the site occupied by production buildings, which are also fully utilized every year, ensure this protected species can raise their young in a safe environment with good prospects and sufficient food range. The entire extensive meadow areas on the premises are also operated as wild field meadows. Whereby we only cut twice a year to provide a habitat for insects and bees all year round.
In the meantime, six lizard castles have been procured for sand lizards, providing a home and development opportunity for this protected species. An own beehive on our premises operated in collaboration offers extensive cherry tree plantations surrounding the site the possibility of pollination.
You as a customer will receive a sample of our own honey as a souvenir when you visit us. Likewise, we produce bath salts with honey, which ensure a natural skin care for you at home.
EMPLOYEES
Our employees are the best ambassadors for environmentally friendly production. All employees are required to pay attention to environmental compatibility and environmental impact. This is especially true in the case of avoidable environmental pollution, such as with waste containers, but also the mechanical pick-up of powder products, which can fall onto the closed apron areas due to improperly closed containers.
The training and sensitization of our employees guarantees the best possibility to produce in an environmentally friendly way and to develop new ideas in order to remain loyal to our motto “Let’s go green together” practicing active environmental protection.
PROCESSES
The processes operated by us are all located within closed hall areas. This ensures that emissions to the outside occur only in very selected emission points, which can be audited and equipped with protective devices accordingly.
This ensures the best protection of the environment and the surrounding area. In addition, the processes are designed in a closed system, so that even inside the halls there is as little environmental pollution as possible, which in turn could also lead to a burden on the employees working there.
PRODUCTS
The products we process are closely monitored in close coordination with our customers. Safety data sheets ensure the correct classification and the appropriate provision of safety precautions, both towards the environment and towards employees.
Regular customer audits, as well as internal audits, ensure that our products are processed in an environmentally friendly manner and that they are handled appropriately.
